Play therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach used to help children ages 3 to 12 express themselves...their thoughts, emotions, and process the impact of their environment through play.  Play therapy is different than traditional, non-therapeutic play; the therapist is intentional in encouraging free expression and facilitating the exploration of self. I employ a combined directive and non directive play therapy approach to help children discover new and more positive ways to communicate and solve problems. Play therapy is offered on a case-by-case basis, upon request, to children ages 6-12.
